Suns - Lakers Recep

great series...i haven't been into a series this much since the old Sacramento Kings teams...the lakers are the perfect villains with kobe being the central antagonist...this lakers team reminds me a lot of the late 90s bulls (i didnt like them either) and kobe is mj...however from a fan perspective i think the suns are much more likable and i hope they dont try to break this team up...keep amare and bring in one more piece (A REBOUNDER!!!!)...steve kerr i know you're reading this - DO NOT TINKER WITH THE BENCH!..goran dragic showed he's a star in the making and the suns will be in good hands once nash - vujacic and dragic are both Serbian (slovenians are a soft race that would never get into fights on tv)

again outstanding series - the suns made me interested in the nba again and i look forward to watching the lakers lose to the celtics in the finals (again) :)

Last Words of the Executed

By the 1930s the noose had been largely replaced as a method of
capital punishment by the gas chamber and the electric chair. But
as late as 1996 it was in use in Delaware. Billy Bailey was convicted
of the 1979 murder of Gilbert and Clara Lambertson, though he
claimed until his death that he did not remember shooting the el-
derly couple because he had been drinking heavily that day.

Delaware constructed a fifteen-foot-high gallows specifically for Bailey’s
execution. Bailey had chosen hanging over lethal execution be-
cause, he said, “the law is the law.” OFFICIAL SITE

Poverty Facts and Stats

The poorest 40 percent of the world’s population accounts for 5 percent of global income. The richest 20 percent accounts for three-quarters of world income.

According to UNICEF, 24,000 children die each day due to poverty. And they “die quietly in some of the poorest villages on earth, far removed from the scrutiny and the conscience of the world. Being meek and weak in life makes these dying multitudes even more invisible in death.

In 2005, the wealthiest 20% of the world accounted for 76.6% of total private consumption. The poorest fifth just 1.5%:

The wealthiest nation on Earth has the widest gap between rich and poor of any industrialized nation

What You Don’t Know About Cuba

Meanwhile, Lansky became a major investor in the city's Hotel Habana Riviera, which was poised to rival the Flamingo hotel and casino he was involved with in the Nevada desert. "Havana would be Las Vegas today if there had not been a revolution," says Welch. "It would have been a destination for gambling, prostitution and all the rest of it." FULL ARTICLE

Can 'Blue Zones' Help Turn Back the Biological Clock?

One of the most striking people he met during his travels was 104-year-old Giovanni Sannai of Sardinia. "He was out chopping wood at 9 in the morning," Buettner tells guest host Audie Cornish. "He started his day with a glass of wine and there was a steady parade of people coming by to ask his advice. That's one of the characteristics of the Sardinian Blue Zone — the older you get, the more celebrated you are." FULL ARTICLE

If I don't marry a Serbian girl it will be due to one of these 5 reasons

5. voices... once they hit 16 they start to sound like they're 50...all the singers have it too it's feminine but in some sort of deep mature way...serbian music videos are best watched on mute

4. they cant dance...i've had one serbian girl tell me she dances like a "white girl" NO YOU DONT, at least american white girls had 500 years to learn something from the black girls you on the other hand dance like a "serbian girl" and need to stick to the kolo

3. sub matter how hard they try to be slutty or pose or fake tan they'll simply never be as hot as south american girls

2. weirdos...they can't have male friends who aren't their boyfriend...soon as you deny them romantically you'll never hear from them again

After 10 years of self rule Kosovo is still a failed state

First Muslim Miss USA winner derided as 'Miss Hezbollah USA' by conservatives

it's a sad day in America but a very predictable one, given the politically correct, Islamo-pandering climate in which we're mired. The Hezbollah-supporting Shi’ite Muslim, Miss Michigan Rima Fakih -- whose bid for the pageant was financed by an Islamic terrorist and immigration fraud perpetrator -- won the Miss USA contest," Schlussel wrote in one of her many recent posts condemning Fakih...

...As for Hezbollah, one of its party members, Hassan Fadlallah, offered the following comment on Fakih's victory in an interview with Lebanese television on Tuesday:

"The criteria through which we evaluate women are different from those of the West." FULL ARTICLE

Russell Crowe snaps over "Irish" Robin Hood accent

BBC radio arts reporter Mark Lawson said he felt his impression from Crowe's performance was that "Robin Hood was an Irishman who took frequent holidays in Australia."

"You've got dead ears, mate -- seriously dead ears if you think there's an Irish accent," Crowe, 46, retorted in the interview, broadcast on Thursday.

Lawson then asked Crowe if the accent was meant to be northern English. Robin Hood, a 13th century archer who according to folklore robbed the rich to give to the poor, lived in a forest near the northern English city of Nottingham.

"No, I was going for an Italian ... missed it? F--- me." FULL ARTICLE

What to do with LeBron

first i just want to say i never saw a team give up like the cavs did at the end of the boston game without fouling rondo (who shoots 15% ft) or trying to put up quick 3s...anyway Lebron had 7 seasons to win in cleveland and only made it to the finals once (where they got swept)so it's time to move on for both parties...the cavs couldnt find him a supporting cast good enough which was roughly around his age so they could grow together like the bulls put around jordan...on the other hand the roster has always been pretty deep and he didnt carry them...BEST SCENARIO for everyone: do a sign and trade to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for brook lopez and the soon to be first overall pick john wall (assuming they get it) cavs will have a top center and pg for the next 15 years and lebron can start over in the capital of the world - nyc with his friend and co-owner jay-z the camel

The Cardigans - Love Fool (Romeo&Juliet soundtrack)

Jelena Jankovic > Ana Ivanovic

But Jankovic didn’t see it that way, nor did her mother Snezana, who reportedly told the Serb media after Jankovic went 1-1 in singles and 0-1 in doubles in a hard-fought 3-2 loss to the Slovaks, “Jelena missed only one match for Serbia in 10 years. This time she flew 48 hours across the world to play, despite a serious injury. At the same time, somebody else had coffee somewhere while my child played, hurting for her country.”

The coffee reference was to Ivanovic, who was photographed at the time in a cafe in Mallorca with her pro golfer boyfriend Adam Scott of Australia.

Jankovic added about her two-day trip (because of the volcanic ash) from Florida through Israel and Cyprus to get to Belgrade, “I felt like a zombie. I’d had no sleep, my left wrist was swollen and I hadn’t hit a ball for a week. But I am a patriot. FULL STORY

Serbian general has his throat slashed by Muslim inmates in British jail

He was arrested in a daring joint SAS and U.S. Navy SEAL snatch in Bosnia in December 1998.

In 2001 he became the first man to be convicted of genocide by the War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague and was sentenced to 46 years in prison.

This was overturned on appeal and replaced by a 35-year sentence for aiding and abetting genocide.

Under the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, Britain is obliged to take a share of prisoners convicted at the tribunal.

Among Bosnian Muslims, Krstic, who is married with a daughter, remains a figure of hatred, with the families of many of his victims swearing revenge.

Retribution appears to have come when he was attacked in the maximum security area of Wakefield while in his cell - D320.

He was slashed using a homemade weapon - believed to be a razorblade embedded in a toothbrush.

Last night it emerged that one of his suspected assailants was serving life for the torture and murder of a girl in a suburban park in 2005.

He is Indrit Krasniqi, 22, of Chiswick, West London, convicted in 2006 of the gang murder of Mary-Ann Leneghan, 16, in Reading. FULL STORY

Before I voice my opinion on this brutal execution I'd like to say I condemn anyone who murdered innocent people, raped women and looted and razed property during the Balkan wars of the 90s.

Now let me explain what really happened here:

- the British recognized the illegal independence of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo thereby adding fuel to the fire of the conflict

- the British then abducted Serbian soldiers accused of 'war crimes' and took them to the kangaroo court known as the 'International War Crimes Tribunal' which in reality is a political tool for NATO

- the British bombed Yugoslavia for "humanitarian" reasons and killed thousands of innocent civilians yet no British politicians or pilots responsible for the massacre were brought to the aforementioned kangaroo court

- the Serbian soldiers are found guilty then caged in British prisons where they are butchered by mujahideen fanatics and Albanian criminals
