5 Questions with Neven Subotic

Neven Subotic the 21 year old centre back for Borussia Dortmund and the Serbian national joins us for an exclusive pre-World Cup interview. We cover everything from blow up dolls to Hilter. Read it, it's good for you like celery!

You didn't make the American 2007 U-20 World Cup team because head coach Thomas Rongen thought you didn't yet "belong on the team" but American Div 2 'all stars' such as Nathan Sturgis, Anthony Wallace, Julian Valentin, and Amaechi Igwe did. You are now considered one of the best young defenders in the world, do you feel Rongen should be fired as coach?

I feel like I have more important things to think about, like the World Cup this summer.

A lot of people don't know this but you're not shy about experimenting with different hairstyles, do you have anything special planned for the World Cup?

I'm going to keep it classy with semi long hair, and either go with the wake-up n go or wrap it up with a strap.

Your sister Natalija is a rising star in the tennis world, has she hinted at which country she will represent when she turns pro?

She finished college and is going back this year to get her masters in International Business. Shout out to my sis for being a hard worker and finished college.

Your patriotism and decision to play for Serbia has been widely publicized. Marko Marin, a Bosnian-Serb himself, has decided to play for Germany, is it fair to call him a Nazi traitor?

I know Marko, he speaks Serbian better than me. I listened to my heart and chose Serbia, I don't know his motives for choosing Germany. Call him a dwarf but not a German nationalistic traitor.

Your name has been linked with a possible transfer to several super clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus. Considering German, English and Italian women are all equally ugly, do you wait until a Spanish or Brazilian side become interested or do you pack your blow up doll and just focus on football in England or Italy?

It sounds like you've never been to England. Forget your Boy George blow up doll and head to London for some girls that will make you forget you ever had a Boy George blow up doll in first place.
